Conversations with Jerrick Richardson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerrick Richardson.

Hi Jerrick Richardson, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started Jugg House Productions/Records with just me back in 2017 when I graduated high school. I linked with a couple of close friends, producers & engineers in like 2018-2019 (Nick, nugget, Sensei, Dead, Nolinski, and Sour K) in the city who else had their name for themselves for working w major artists who blew out of the city of Orlando such as Glokknine, Poody, Hotboii, Rico Cartel, 438 Tok, and many more.

We had got into a situation with a label executive in 2018-2019 which caused me, Nugget, Sensei, and Nick Khargiein the mid-2020s to form a production company & record label.

From then to now, our credentials and work ethic got us to where we signed four artists to the label (Kirkland Jaxon, Kickkone, Niyahdenae, & a duo called Check-Up), a creative director (Dvtdidit), filmmaker/videographer (Killakshotit), a guitarist (Zae Smoov), & 12 A&RS to discover new talent for us to recruit and help develop them as artist plus boost their buzz not just locally but globally.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all a lot of disappointing moments having artists bail on us due to not having our paperwork together as a team in the earlier parts and just being so gullible to what everyone is saying.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m known as “JSupreme,” but I’m known for being a CEO of a production company/record label & a billboard producer. I’ve been producing & making beats for four years now. I have six instrumental albums on all platforms, and I’ve been working with artists for about two in half years currently.

I’m most proud that I never gave up when times were hard, and my back was against the wall with my music & personal life. That’s what separates me from others because there have been times when music was slow work.

I had to make something happen. I told myself it’s on me to make sure beats get made so they can get sold. I did a lot of self-evaluating because the only way you’ll get what you want out of life is to work and not take shortcuts plus not compare yourself to nobody except the older version of you.

What do you think about happiness?
Being alive makes me happy because it’s really a blessing to get another day and chance at life to do what you love and what you’re passionate about. Plus, I see it as God telling you, you’re one step closer to the finish line, keep working.
