Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Zamprogno.
Jessica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I came to this country of opportunities from Brazil with my kids to provide them with a better future, and I happen to be blessed by meeting the love of my life and soulmate.
During the pandemic while awaiting for my 3er child, the stress of COVID-19 and my husband always working, I wanted to start looking for something productive for myself, since in Brazil I was always an independent woman and entrepreneur, I believe I was capable do something that I can do from home, and also gave me the flexibility to be with my kids and husband, since we live in this crazy times. I started by researching for jobs in the area I realize that there was a high demand for babysitters in the area, so I decided to give it a try. I started noticing moms were contacting me every day and I was almost spending more time with other kids that actually my own. I decided to start searching for requirements to open the home daycare, after finding all the information require and speak into my husband who has been supportive 100%, I made a decision to start this new journey and today I am so grateful of the beautiful children’s that I have including my owns, the families that are with us today, and the job that we are being able to provide.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
First, be an immigrant in a different country with a different culture and a different language. Second I started my business during the pandemic, so we were dealing with keeping our family and our babies safe from COVID-19.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
