Conversations with Kimberly Shead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Shead.

Hi Kimberly, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Hi, my name is Kimberly Shead. I am original from Chicago Il. I moved to Kissimmee Fl right after high school. The high school where it all started. Will kind of if I don’t count the numerous nights my sister and I would look through magazines and cut out pictures of what we want our lives to be like after we were out in the world alone. My sister Jalisa Shead and I pretty much mapped out our whole life in knew what we wanted. It was weird I could almost see the future in my head. The same hopes and dreams that I had before still lie in me today, but who knew so many obstacles would have come with it. In high school, I was sort of an introvert and an extrovert. I’m still is. I don’t mind being behind the scenes or in front. I learned about being behind the camera my sophomore year of high school when I signed up for after school matters program with Jasmine Kronbeck, she was awesome. I learned about the arts through her and also from my art teacher Miss. Deluca was also awesome. They were more than just teachers they were like mentors to me. To them, they might have just been doing their job, but for me what I learned from them made a big impact in life that makes me who I am today. After that I started dabbling into other things I started a dance team, managing other artists, getting paid for photography,  I ended up in a music video dancing, performed at the “All-Stars Project” talent show, and had a photoshoot. It was crazy because it was one thing after another. I ended up meeting a lot of people that were in the music industry. I now know all of that was to prepare me for something bigger. When I moved to Florida, I didn’t exactly know what it was that I wanted to do. So far, I got signed to a label in Orlando. Me and my brother performed for a few years together touring. Living the good life. Back and forth from Kissimmee, Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale. We were managed by a few people here in there. Went to a lot of events where we got to hang out and talk with a lot of different celebrities. We mostly use to be with John Wick and his people. What a lot of people didn’t know is that while we were still traveling back and forth my mom, brother, and I lived in A hotel. We would spend numerous hours going on the bus back and forth to the studio. It all was worth it. My brother and I realized how badly we wanted a change and how important our music is to us. Fast-forwarding to know all of my struggles all of those times I wanted to give up when things got tough. It all was totally worth it. Even though things aren’t a 100% where I want it to be I could look back on my life and see that I’ve come a long way. I’ve performed so many times I lost track, been in fashion shows and photoshoots, I’ve danced in a few productions, been in 100s of commercials, started my own business this year, the photography business is revamping, and more. I couldn’t be more proud of myself. Sometimes we don’t give ourselves credit for the things that we do, this year I’ve been working on it. I’ve learned that I am the person I am today because God never fails. He put the right people in my path even if they aren’t in my life now. I’ve learned from each and every person that has walked into my life. I know for a fact they played a big role in my life. not everyone is supposed to be in your life forever it is the impact they make in your life in the little time they are. If it’s toxic people you learn the don’t and if it’s nothing but good vibes. You already know. I name my business “Let’s Love Life Again” because every time we give up it’s never too late to start over again. No matter how many times I fall flat on my face I’m going to get back up and try again. Love life again.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing comes easy in life. I have had so many challenges with everything I put my hands on. There were many times where I wanted to give up. There were times that I actually did give up, but every time that happens, I got back up stronger. Some of the obstacles that I have facade were worrying about what people think, finances, finding the right routes to take, my surroundings of people, everyday life problems, and more. I am still facing a lot of these obstacles today, but the difference is I learned how to deal with these things and not to stress about them. God wouldn’t give you more than you can handle.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The most thing I am proud of is being an entrepreneur. I am the CEO of “Let’s Love Life Again” and a photographer. L.L.L.A I say is a jack of all trades. My sister and I Jalisa Shead have combined our businesses L.L.L.A AND Bunnyz Palace. We are a family-owned business! We do custom printing for businesses and non-businesses. (Check out our customer print section for our prices on family reunions, family theme park shirts, Birthdays, and more). We also have our apparel lines (L.L.L.A Apparel and Bunnyz Palace), Photography service, etc. What makes our business different from others is that we use a percentage of the money from our collections to donate to a different charity every other month. Besides the business, I am a performance arts triple treat. I am A Singer/Rapper, Actress, and Model.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Throughout my life, I have had many mentors, Supporters, and Clients who helped me on this long journey of mine. I just wanted to give a shout-out to those people who helped support me, gave me the best advice, those who taught me about the arts. From when I first picked up a Mic, A camera, A paintbrush, A bible, etc. To those who woke up at 2 am to drive to me a gig, to those who drove hours for me to take me to a performance. To those who were our first customers for our businesses, To the creative people who surrounded me and believed in me enough to help in their free times. I wanted to give thanks to:
