Conversations with Kreshnik Behrami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kreshnik Behrami.

Kreshnik, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Kreshnik Behrami. I’m a hairstylist and a TikTok content creator. I moved to NYC when I was 19 years old and started working on different things to try to figure out my passion and my future career. Coming from a small country like Kosovo, made NYC feel endless. That being said I felt like opportunities and chances in the Island of Manhattan were plenty and all I had to do was work hard towards my goals and grasp every opportunity out there. I initially started creating videos for fun and then got reached out by brands and companies who saw a certain style and influence of my content in my followers.

As I worked on expressing myself through fun video contents, I realized that there was another area I would like to express my creativity. I started going to school for hairstyling and I loved every second of it. The way I saw my current profession was more about how I made ppl feel good with themselves. The way I perceive it is simple: Everyone feels a certain way about themselves, being able to visualize it for other people as well makes it fulfilling.

Obviously, I never thought it would be easy and as a matter of fact, it never was. But you keep working day by day till you make something out of it and then you make IT.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
NYC can be ruthless. Sometimes makes you feel too little and the competition is always challenging. Main struggle at first was language barriers. I couldn’t express myself as good as intended. And once that got improved, as a hairstylist, I had to compete to so many talented people. I decided to reach out to people that I considered good in the industry and ask them if I could assist in their work with very little money. That was probably the most beneficial thing I got to do. I was able to learn from their experiences and watch them in action. And once I felt like I was ready, I started going by my own and get my own clients.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As of now, I’ve built a small clientele who I style and advice on their look as well as work for a real state company as a content creator. I’m an ambitious and driven person, and I always look for ways to improve myself, but I believe that creativity and style is what sets me apart from the competition. Also, I think I have an edge in realizing for the customer or my audience likes and be able to translate that through my work.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I believe that the most important lesson is never giving up and always trying hard to achieve what you set yourself to.
