Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyalell (Ky) Simmons.
Hi Ky, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started in 2016. I was working in a call center doing a job that I hated – Selling Health Insurance. I had just gotten off a call and my coworker was on his phone hype as I don’t know what because he just made $200. I was thinking he sold a plan or something, but no. He had placed a trade in the Forex Market and made that money in a few hours without moving a muscle. Once I heard that I was instantly hooked. I was like so you mean to tell me that I can make money from my phone but not have to actually be on the phone? Okay, bet. That night, I got home, I hopped on YouTube and scoured the internet for hours trying to obtain any information leading to this new possible source of income and change in lifestyle.
A few months went by, and I found some basic information online through YouTube videos and various websites. Nothing was really helping me, then I started to come into contact with some mentors. That’s where things really started to take off. From that point, I started to look at every aspect of trading. Forex, Stocks, Commodities, even Cryptocurrency. This honestly, when nobody on social media really knew about trading and where I began to get my foothold in the community. Once I started to obtain this limited knowledge, I started to connect with the big boys in the industry. At the time it was Cue Banks and Ryan Gilpin, the goats of trading to this day. I took the courses they offered and it helped a bit. At this point, I had to make a choice. I could either keep everything to myself or start sharing this knowledge as I grew to help others. Obviously, I chose to share the knowledge. I love to help others succeed even if that means they learn faster or make more money than me. I love to see the growth.
Fast Foward to 2022 – I had to take a 2-year hiatus from social media because of the toxicity of the forex industry and personal reasons. During that 2-year hiatus, I really just focused on trading and myself. I started to conquer my fears, travel, work out, be a symbol for motivation and start my journey to become a mental health advocate. This industry can be very lonely thankfully, I’m a natural introvert so it doesn’t really affect me too much. Anyway, back to the subject at hand. This year after dealing with Covid, and living on my own at 25 I’ve started to develop my own trading group. I offer free market breakdowns, free trading analysis, and I let you tag along on my trading journey so that way you can see for yourself. That if you are motivated, determined, and believe in yourself. You can do anything.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wish it was a smooth road. I’ve been trading for over 5 years, and I’m just getting to a place where I’m comfortable sharing more knowledge and breaking out of the hiatus that I took from social media. My main struggle if anything was impatience. Anyone who starts trading thinks that this is a “Get Rich Quick Scheme” when it’s the exact opposite. I’ve probably poured roughly a tuition fee into courses, mentors, and markets alone. I use to lose accounts weekly, and then put more money into them just to lose it again because I would over trade, force trades, or not follow my trading plan. And honestly, that’s what it’s all about. That’s what I offer. To learn from or watch someone firsthand go through all the trials and hardships of trading on their journey to the top. There’s not anyone really doing that. The best traders around seem like they just woke up one day and were the best. We didn’t have the opportunity to actually watch them and see every trade they take.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I think if some people from around the city ran into me they would instantly recognize me for what I’m known for – Being a Forex Trader.
I would say the main thing that sets me apart from anyone else, is that I’m always 100% transparent with everything. Ranging from trading to my personal life, I like to disclose what I’m going through and be honest about life because social media is filled with too much sugar coating and making everyone think everyone is happy. When in reality everyone is going through something and too afraid to show it. That principle alone gives me the drive to be different and transparent. I want you to be able to relate to me, whether I’m having a good trading day, a bad day at home with family, or going through a breakup. I want you to be there. I’ll take the jokes and mocking if it means I can help someone, and it means so much to me when I get the messages from people going through the same thing I am and feel better knowing they aren’t going through it alone.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What keeps me living here is the theme parks hands down. I’m a huge theme park nerd, I plan to actually start a youtube channel all about theme parks because I love them so much. If I ever do move out of the city, I’ll definitely still have a place out here for sure.
The only thing I don’t like about the city would be the traffic. I-4 is crazy packed around the Disney area.
