Today we’d like to introduce you to LeighAnn Lights.
Hi LeighAnn, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a Starbucks-loving, Disney going, Makeup freak. I began freelancing while in high school; I’d do friends and family’s makeup for dances and special occasions. I freelanced through college. I actually didn’t continue Med school because I realized that being an MUA was my passion. Presently, I travel all over working weddings, photoshoots and special events.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have definitely been struggles. Getting my name out there has always been an obstacle. That being said, I grow a little bit everyday, which is great!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an MUA. I specialize in bridal makeup. I’d say that I’m “known” for beautiful natural glam looks; think Victoria’s secret runway, lol. I’d say that my ability to conceptualize a vision is what I’m strongest at.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
As the world gets back to “normal,” I can see large growths for the business. In less than five years, I hope to have my business completely full-time. I hope to grow internationally as well.
