Conversations with Lexi Farmer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexi Farmer.

Lexi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always loved capturing moments, but during COVID I started playing around more seriously with taking photos and editing videos — it became a way to express myself and stay inspired while everything else slowed down. That creative outlet turned into something more once I realized how much joy it brought me and others.

In 2022, while I was still in college, I made the leap to doing content creation full-time. It wasn’t something I planned from the beginning, but the more I shared, the more I connected with people—and the more I realized I could build something lasting. I juggled fun college jobs along the way, but content creation was the one thing I always came back to.

Since then, I’ve grown a community centered around Florida living—sun, ocean, hidden beach spots, and a lifestyle grounded in outdoor adventures and appreciation for nature. My golden retriever, Skip, has been by my side through it all and is a big part of my content (and honestly, the fan favorite!).

I feel really lucky to do what I love, and even luckier that it’s allowed me to build genuine connections with people who care about the same things.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all—like most creative careers, the road has had its ups and downs. One of the biggest challenges has been learning to stay grounded in who I am while navigating an industry that’s constantly shifting.

It’s easy to compare yourself to others or feel pressure to keep up with trends, especially when everything moves so fast online. I’ve definitely had moments where I questioned whether I was doing enough, or whether I was falling behind.

But I’ve learned to trust the process. What matters most is creating content that feels honest—because that’s what resonates. I remind myself that consistency and authenticity are more powerful than any algorithm, and that success looks different for everyone.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator and digital storyteller focused on Florida lifestyle, beach culture, and ocean conservation. I create content that reflects the kinds of moments people crave—sunny days, coastal escapes, time spent outside, and the simple joy of being in nature.

Skip, my golden retriever and sidekick, plays a big role in that storytelling too—he’s become a familiar face to my audience and adds so much personality to the content I share.

I specialize in lifestyle content and UGC (user-generated content) for brands, especially in wellness, skincare, and outdoor living. My audience is drawn to visuals that feel natural, unfiltered, and personal—and that’s what I aim to deliver.

What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built. It’s not just about views or numbers—it’s about making people feel something. Inspiring them to get outside, take care of the environment, and find joy in everyday moments. I think what sets me apart is my consistency and the relationship I’ve built with my audience over time. People come for the vibe, but stay because it feels real.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My friends and family have played a huge role in my journey. From the beginning, they believed in me—sometimes even more than I believed in myself.

They were the ones cheering me on when growth was slow, when I doubted whether this path would lead anywhere, or when I needed encouragement to keep going.

Their support helped me stay grounded and reminded me why I started. Having people in your corner who genuinely believe in you makes all the difference, and I’m endlessly grateful for that.
