Hi Lily, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been creating costumes and clothing since I was a little kid using my mother’s sewing machine to alter my outfits. When I got my first laptop in high-school I started live streaming myself just talking on various websites. At some point the costume creation and live streaming collided and now I have a loyal audience who watches me 4 days a week and even buys things that I create and commissions me to craft new things!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Live streaming and content creation in general is always a roller coaster. You never know what’s going to work and what isn’t, there’s constantly new trends and even new applications you have to follow and adapt to. Monetarily it’s all over the place I’ll never know how much I’ll be making week to week.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I make EVERYTHING. I’m a bit of a jack of all trades when it comes to crafts. I think what sets me apart is that I make everything myself, in house. Where it may be easier to outsource things like merch shirts, photo prints, etc I am making everything myself live on camera! So you can go order something from my site or comission me to make you a costume and then watch me craft it live on twitch!
Any big plans?
I am planning on leaning much more into costume creation for others. In the past I’ve done most of the modeling myself but I’d love to see a variety of people in my designs.
