Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisandra Castillo.
Hi Lisandra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The business has been a blessing in disguise. My business started in 2017, the day after Hurricane Irma. So while I’m eating hurricane snack a friend of mine was talking to me about living a healthy lifestyle. As she’s talking to me about how she makes money while living a healthy lifestyle. Still holding a conversation with me, I received an email stating I was an independent distributor. The next day I started to live a healthier lifestyle and started to work my business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth ride. It was very difficult for me to eat cleaner and I was so embarrassed to go to gym and exercise. I also knew no one in the business so I really felt like I had no guidance. But I stepped out of comfort zone reached to a friend that lived out of state that was also in the same business I’m in. She shed some light and I knew from there I had to work on me. My main struggle was my mental health. I blamed my trauma and me being bipolar why I was addicted to eating certain foods or why I had such a bad attitude.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a wellness/health coach. I’m currently working on my certification as a nutritional coach and personal trainer. Most of my clients come from social media. So most of my followers have seen the growth and the weight fall off. I had an incident few years ago which left a mark/dent on my body. Due to that mark/dent, I now preach body positivity. As a child, I was always body shamed and the incident opened my eyes there’s others out there who went through the body shame or is still going through it today.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I’m organized and I work very well with structure. I will make my life as well as anyone else’s life with the structure I can create.
