Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariana Lev. She and their team share their story with us below:
Mariana Lev was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her maternal grandparents were born in Poland, Argentine mother and father and 1 brother. She has always liked art, singing and dancing, she comes from the family since her parents met in acting classes, her aunt was the first soloist dancer at the Teatro Colon in Argentina, her maternal grandmother liked to sing and her paternal grandfather sang tango.
Finishing high school she decided to study Comprehensive Production of Audiovisual Media and after graduating she went to try her luck north, to the province of Tucuman (the smallest province in Argentina).
There she began to sing Latin music professionally (although her beginnings in music were from a very young age with Hebrew music).
She also opened her Caribbean dance academy (salsa, merengue, bachata, …) bringing these rhythms to this province when these musical genres had not yet arrived, she was a pioneer in it.
She danced Salsa for a long time and when she decided in 2003 to emigrate to the USA with a work contract, she also continued teaching.
Arriving in this country everything was very hard, and although she came with a visa and work, changing the country, language and customs was not easy and being away from her family.
Many anecdotes that Mariana can tell (good and not so good), since she went through a lot to get to where she is today.
She arrived in the city of Orlando but months later she decided to move to Miami, the city of the sun and there she began to give dance classes in gyms, spas, schools and also continued singing as a soloist and in groups, in private and corporate events, festivals, etc.
End of 2007 she was given the opportunity (which she had been looking for for 4 years) to be a TV Producer on a Miami channel to produce a talent show. She did this for 7 years until she made the decision to leave as it was time to start other projects. Those 7 years on TV gave him work and professional experience, they were incredible years.
There she met her current partner and the father of her daughter Mia, who is now 5 years old.
Her next steps were singing on cruise ships, opening her own artistic development agency producing 18 concerts in 5 years for new talents (Kol Talent). She also started her own entertainment company for events (live music, dj, dancers) My Party Show and music production and recording studio with her husband Alian Melian who is a singer, music producer, composer and musician ArtSing Recording. Studio.
Then little Mia came into her life and Mariana had to put aside her profession a bit to dedicate time to her baby.
These were not easy times because Mariana, being always so independent, was suddenly in a situation where a little person needed 100% of her, but she did not leave her business completely.
She started the pandemic and due to various circumstances she decided to move with her family to Davenport, Florida, Polk County.
The two years of the pandemic made Mariana and those around her have to reinvent themselves; There weren’t any live events anymore, there were few people who came to record, but the new place where she was living opened new doors, unexpected for her.
She started a blog in Spanish for the Latino/Hispanic people in the area and for tourists. Since this is a developing area very few people know where to go, where to eat, what to do, where to take their children or where to spend a fun weekend.
Today she leads a group of Latin women in Polk County, Florida, she has her blog with great success and continues with her Marketing, Entertainment, Artistic Development and Recording Studio companies.
Mariana keeps coming up with the idea of new projects, which she knows she could accomplish to help others in the community.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were calm times as well as turbulent ones. Upon arriving in this country, moments of not having a job, not having a place to live, health problems, and more, but thank God Mariana managed to cope with all that and take it as a life experience, everything bad today is seen as something she had what to go through to get where you are today and to continue for everything you need to achieve.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Singer, Tv Producer, Event Production, Talent Developer.
What’s next?
I will do an International Song Festival.
