Conversations with Mark Hadley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Hadley.

Hi Mark, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a professional artist known for dark/fantasy artwork, my work is described as creepy beautiful. I was able to make a name for myself showing and selling my work at conventions such as PensaCon, Tampa Bay Comic Con and MegaCon here in Orlando just to name a few. I have also been featured in two Disney galleries, “Hoypoloi” and the Pop galllery” and I am now a featured artist with Park West Galleries where my work is auctioned off at VIP events on cruise ships world wide. I get to go on the cruises meet a lot of amazing people, make new friends, and sell my work alongside some of the biggest artists in the world. so I’m very grateful and honored to be where I am and doing what I love. Over the years my work has evolved into many different subject matters and I always look forward to sharing my visions.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing smooth about the road to being an artist lol, it’s not for the faint of heart. I’ve been paying my dues for 25 years, I’ve painted thousands of pieces, and I’ve missed many meals, but there were always cool things that have happened along the way that kept me going. I had one of my murals used in the move “Jackass 2” I am also a scenic artist and I’ve done some cool things for the WWE and the theme parks. It’s all been well worth it. There was never a plan B

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am known for dark fantasy artwork, I am a traditional artist, acrylic on canvas.
people jokingly refer to me as the dark Thomas Kincaid lol

How do you define success?
For me being successful was making money doing what I love, being able to be a stay at home dad and not miss a single thing my two kids have gone through, like first words and first steps.
I have been fortunate enough to get my work on to a world stage and my kids are proud.
