Conversations with Outatime!

Today we’d like to introduce you to Outatime!.

Hello Outatime!, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
A long time ago on a Craigslist Ad not very far away…

Seriously Outatime! was started because our singer Mike had a Craigslist ad posted looking for a band or musicians to jam with after moving to Orlando from Maryland!

Justin answered the ad while playing in another band called Hits Home who was auditioning vocalists at the time! Mike and Justin hit it off and started writing the first couple of Outatime! songs while Hits Home was towards the latter stages of its tenure.

From there we had a few lineup changes with different members until we ended up with the current lineup with James (who Justin met on Craigslist in 2010), Nikk, and Tony!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Honestly, I don’t think any road is smooth hah. There were definitely creative differences involved with original members leaving, new members coming in, and some other members leaving due to commitment issues!

Outside of members, the pandemic caused us to cut our tour in 2020 short stranding us in Virginia after only 2 shows!

We took the struggles and ran with it though! It feels like we have been nonstop recording and promoting a few songs and a full-length record along the way!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are all musicians by night and professionals by day hah.

We are constantly busy with life, work, and music, but I think that’s a big reason that sets us apart. Our music consists of real-life issues and situations that helped mold us into who we are today. That and New Found Glory hah

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
We were all pretty much misfits growing up. I think all of us grew up in the “Counter Culture” of our era listening to music that wasn’t necessarily popular growing up!

A lot of hardcore punk and AFI honestly!
