Conversations with Pharah Phitted

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pharah Phitted.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been singing since I was around five years old. While in high school, I won most musically inclined and began writing my own music. Once I graduated, I auditioned for various singing competitions including The Voice and American Idol. I was able to make it one audition short of the big screen and that lit a fire under me. I continued to work and create, and that allowed me to go to the BET awards in 2019, where I met my now good friend, Michael Colyar. The experience of the awards and sitting with the stars truly changed me. I knew it was possible. I knew I could do it.

The next few months, I began working on a single, Call 4 U, which ended up being the song that captured the attention of the industry folks. Shortly after, I did the #DeborahCoxChallenge, and that went viral! Deborah Cox even commented, reposted and started following me on Instagram!

The journey is taking another elevating turn thanks to this new single, “MOOD”… It’s a “MOOD”, a hashtag, a movie, and something that I am truly proud of.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been an uphill battle my entire career. I have been told that I need to figure out which lane I’m going to be in because you cannot be a singer and rapper. I have been told that my clothing and style was not up to par and that I needed to pick what I was going to do with my image. I have been told to completely give up the rap side and focus solely on singing and throw some heels on while I’m at it!

It’s been a long hard road, just to be able to stay true to myself. Trust me, this business is something else and they are determined to turn you into what they want you to be, and if you’re not strong enough… they just might succeed.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
So, allow me to re-introduce myself (-Jay z quote)… My name is Pharah Phitted aka “I Never Y” aka “The New Wave of Music”.

I am most known for my voice. I can sing songs by artists such as Whitney Houston, Deborah Cox, Alicia Keys, Adele, etc. I have a very powerful voice in a very small body (lol), so it shocks a lot of people.

I am proud of drive; I am proud that I know exactly what I want to do with my life, I’ve known since I was a child, and I am continuously pushing towards my goal.

What sets me apart is my innovation… I call myself “The New Wave of Music” because I am bringing a sense of concept, excitement and actual creative thought to my music as well as my visuals. I love to engage people with fresh ideas and creative videos that will grab them and keep their attention.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Oh boy! Now I understand what they mean when they say your team should be so big that you can’t thank them all… well, I’m going to try!

MY entire “RoyaLTeam”…
My photographers: Taylormxxn, Yo, Starr, William,
My videographers: Jbiggz, Tut, Dar,
My management team: Boodah, Dee Mulah
My dancer: Dee
My models: Carerra, Alexis, King
My entire family and friends who just want to see me win.

These people that I have mentioned are the people who I can or have had to count on in order to bring my vision to life. There is no way humanly possible to do this alone, you need a team… a group of people who are willing to be just as crazy as you, to believe in a dream that they cannot see… but to trust the process and my leadership skills.

So to them all, I want to say… thank you! We on our way!!
