Today we’d like to introduce you to Rob and Howard Iske.
Hi Rob and Howard, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, friends! We’re Rob and Howard and we like to say that we’re what happens when a country Iowan and a Florida boy meet, fall in love and start a family.
Orange & Field is a lifestyle brand and an idea that we had been dreaming of for quite a while prior to launching. We wanted to create something where we could not only share our favorite recipes, DIYs, crafts, and all sorts of other great ideas – but also let our “friends” into our little family. From the start, we wanted everyone to feel like they were right here at home with us – whether it be in the kitchen cooking one of mom’s recipes with Rob or at the table working on a fun craft with Howard and our daughter, Charlotte.
We launched Orange & Field on August 1, 2020, with our very first video that started with a simple, “Hi, friends!” and everyday since then, we’ve dedicated ourselves to creating fun, unique and relatable ideas that always stay true to who we are.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting something from scratch always comes with it’s own very unique set of challenges, but the outpouring of support we’ve received from the moment we launched has been nothing short of incredible.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
We like to think that we were both creative kids – a little rambunctious at times but creative nonetheless. We followed our passion for theater and music as we entered high school, though we never pursued a career in either. It’s funny sometimes how similar our childhoods were even though we lived nearly 1,400 miles apart. When we met, we bonded over our mutual love of things like Disney, antiques and Martha Stewart – all three of which were integral in the creation of Orange & Field.
