Conversations with Sabrina Rivera

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Rivera.

Hi Sabrina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
It all started with our car group Mamba Garage. Mamba Garage was established in 2020 and we are very involved in the car community. Just this year we started to recruit new members and we have grown our team to almost 50 cars now! Some cars apart of our team include Porsche 911 GT3, Lamborghini Huracan, Corvette C8, Toyota Supra, Nissan Skyline, and a bunch of other rare JDM imports. We are huge cookie lovers and wanted to expand our brand…that is where we decided to start Mamba’s Bakery! Mamba’s Garage ties into the bakery because we name some of our cookies after the car community. We decided to offer local deliveries for a limited time in our Toyota Supra… for those who don’t know the Supra is one of the most iconic cars in the car community. I kid you not it took us 20x times to perfect our recipe and we are glad to call it our own! We wanted to create a cookie that stood out from the masses. Our cookie is a massive 6-ounce cookie made with nothing but love! We also do crazy flavors and change our menu up every two weeks. Our cookies are homemade and made to order!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Starting the bakery, we did come across many obstacles. Coming up with a recipe from scratch was definitely hard. Through multiple trial and errors, we were able to perfect it. We also did struggle with time management; other than the bakery I also work a full-time job. Even though handling a business and a job at the same time was difficult, I was able to overcome that because the bakery was something that truly brought me joy and it didn’t matter to be if I had to stay up until 1 is working on the business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work full-time as a receptionist at the law firm Morgan & Morgan. I take care of all the clients that walk into the office, I pay all of the invoices for the depositions and mediations, and handle the settlement checks. I am also a notary. I work hand and hand with everyone in the office and help out anyone anyway I can.

I am always willing to help anybody out and I was go the extra mile to make sure our clients are happy. I not only do this in my professional job but also in my personal life.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I think it is important to take risks if you want growth. Playing it safe will lead you nowhere. There were many risks we had to take to grow our brand. Multiple paid ads… which were not always successful but it did help us learn and understand what areas we wanted to target.
