Conversations with Sharday Harrell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharday Harrell.

Hi Sharday, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Orlando, Fl, college dropout, but continued to Thrive, even in toxic environments. I became the youngest leader in a business segment for a fortune 500 company with my visible tattoos, bright red hair, but infectious personality. And because of my perseverance and faith I’ve defeated major giants. I started in the Pharmaceutical Industry in 2004 and served in Operations Leadership 10+ years. I have managed, coached and developed teams over 40 employees. Over time, I’ve specialized in Training & Development, Team Building, Client Services and Account Management. As a brand ambassador & leader in corporate America, I saw an immense need for mentorship to aid and cultivate those who are seeking professional advancement, personal development and homeownership. After becoming a homeowner, myself I was impelled to become a business owner to continue efforts at impacting the community as a servant leader. I then launched my consulting business as a Strategist in the fall of 2018 and shortly after became licensed as a real estate professional. I not only specialize in buyer’s education and representation, but also investments. While working with families in their homeownership journey, I noticed a common denominator, Financial Literacy. My mission goal became “Where the community lacks, I’ll IMPACT”! Now I stand before you today also a licensed financial planner. My blessing NOT brand, is a Strategist. And my goal is to give you access to the keys to unlock your future. A future in your dream home, wealth building, retirement planning, business growth strategies, life goals and most importantly identifying your WHY.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say my challenges have mostly been about “SELF”. Self-doubt, Self-esteem and self-worth. I lacked in all 3 areas growing up. Although I was pretty on the outside, I looked for validation from others as a young girl to tell me I was beautiful, or I was loved. I doubted if I was enough because I compared myself to other women- their beauty and their success, not knowing that in my self-discovery I was created in a image from LOVE. Even as I soared in the workplace, I always thought I had to work 10 times harder, because not only I was African American, but also a woman without a college degree. So I didn’t see the value in myself until I made the right connections through fruitful, purposeful and divined relationships. First, it was my faith and my relationship with God that got me over the mountains I created when I was younger. I found who I was in Him, and no one couldn’t change who I was from that day forward. I knew that I was fearfully and wonderfully made. I connected with likeminded people who I was fortunate enough to blaze a trail with. As a young leader, I realized that being different made the difference. Having a different walk of life allowed me to share insight and perspective on the dogma mentality culture. I chose life as my teacher and graduated from the university of adversity, and I am grateful to share my testimony with others; that if we focus and work on S.E.L.F. that we would be Successful, Enterprising, Legendary and Fearless!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My vast experience from church group membership and Corporate America sets me a part for your traditional consultant. I start off with a simple question to all clients; What is your why? I believe your Why is the fuel that will keep you in “drive” and on the road. We then identify 4 pillars that are the cornerstone to their mission, which is symbolic to the wheels that will keep you on track. I also add much needed resources in the real estate and financial market in the event my client is looking to build wealth. I am not your cookie cutter consultant; I am a goal friend that first deactivates your negative way of thinking and speaking. Your words frame your world. We must first think it, to speak it ,to then bring it to existence. One of my best practices to date is to renounce unhealthy thinking upfront. Remember, your mind is the vehicle, but without your why and mission you won’t have the fuel to make it far.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Well now that I am a proud local leadership board member of the America Lung Association, I think my business will shift in other sectors in the non profit space as I bring awareness to the many initiatives. I also have been presented with opportunities to connect with thought leaders in California and last but certainly not least, I have a great opportunity to support the Dominican Republic real estate market.

So international here we go!
