Conversations with Stefen Gage

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefen Gage.

Stefen Gage

Hi Stefen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in the inner city of Syracuse, NY. I didn’t have much money, but I did have a good work ethic. One thing I did was I excelled in sports. In my senior year, I was offered a full football scholarship by Wagner College. After being a college athlete, a graduate, and a coach for Wagner, I moved to Florida for a coaching job at FAU. Things were much more complicated than I thought. I met my wife then, and she brought me to her local church in Boynton Beach. I began to know the Lord personally and was saved in 2013. Feeling called out of coaching, Stefen started to enter education. After my wife and I married in 2015, we relocated to Orlando, Florida. We felt called to a church plant, and In 2017, he was ordained as a pastor there. This era birthed a greater need for youth and revival. Years later, in 2019, my wife and I led a youth revival in West Palm Beach. We heard the voice of the Lord calling us out, so we launched No Walls in our living room during COVID-19. From Windermere HS to West Orange cinema to our home to now an elementary school in Winter Garden, No Walls truly believe that where the Spirit of The Lord is, No Walls exist. As I share my passion to see others grow in their calling, I share from a place of not having the greatest story. However, I know that the author and finisher of my faith is Jesus. In Him, all things are possible.

It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing about planning a church has been smooth. However, it is worth it. Before we knew how it would all work out, we had committed to start at Windermere High School. We heard about it, although we needed financial backing. As we said, a large church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, sewed into No Walls church. We found out by watching online. We needed to figure it out. However, God knew. Over the years, we have had highs and lows in giving. However, God provides a way. We are people of faith and will continue until he tells us otherwise.

Thanks for sharing that. Please tell us more about your work.
I am a high school teacher. I work at a Christian school, so I am teaching my students about the basics of government and encouraging them in the word of the Lord. I am also a life coach and assistant track coach. I’m most proud of being an example that you can still impact this world regardless of your upbringing. I am also happy to be a husband and father! What sets me apart from others is that a lot of what I do, I do it alongside my wife. There is tremendous power in unity, whether it’s leading a church, leading in business, parenting, and coaching.

Networking and finding a mentor can positively impact one’s life and career. Any advice?
I suggest finding someone who will challenge you and hold you accountable. What worked for me was finding someone who sees beyond my titles and accomplishments and wants me to go further.
