Today we’d like to introduce you to Tommy Royale.
Tommy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi! I’m Tommy Royale and my entire life I have wanted to be an entertainer. I have been drawing for as long as I have a memory and I started performing at the age of 6 and writing original songs at the age of 9! In high school, I joined drama to learn to act and in college, I studied digital media all as an investment to become One of the biggest entertainers
In the world! In 2016 I produced my first mixtape on my iPhone, put it out on SoundCloud, and slowly gained a little bit of traction until in 2018 I partnered with who would eventually become my producer and label owner, Cardiac Drums. We started working together and on April 29th, 2022 we released my first album which debuted at #2 on the Latin charts!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not smooth at all! We’ve had all types of roadblocks! From early things such as not Knowing what our sound was going to be, to have to rewrite and restructure songs on their due dates because the artist didn’t believe that it’ll do them any good. There’s a lot that comes with being an independent artist, especially when everything is done in-house. Your team tends to wear many hats and sometimes there are peers who don’t see or believe in the vision as you do and become another roadblock to overcome
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an artist best known at the moment for my music. I released my first album on April 29th and it debuted on the charts at #2 globally, which is what I am most proud of at the moment. My music has had multiple appearances on Netflix, and I’ve been featured in the MLB all-star game, the NBA playoffs, and the home run derby.
So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why?
I am a man of faith. I believe that I am where I’m at because of my faithfulness to God and that is what is most important to me. Right behind that is having fun being myself and using this to create art that people can not only relate to but have as an escape from everyday life
