Hi Torrence, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
About 5 years ago, I started TDM Technologies Intl in West Palm Beach, Florida, looking to teach the senior community how to use technology more effectively. TDM teaches seniors in senior communities, senior medical centers, and senior centers. Presently, my company offers our services statewide. TDM has 13 trainers and 2 members of the Marketing Team. Classes are offered in English, Spanish, and Creole. In most cases, classes are free for the senior’s thanks to sponsorships from Medicare Advantage companies and medical centers.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
TDM has and continues to have its share of obstacles and challenges. Expansion is difficult financially due to having staff available in various parts of the state. Maintaining relationships with Medicare Advantage companies and their agents is a revolving door due to agents changing companies.

My company, TDM specializes in teaching the senior community how to use technology more effectively. TDM is known for patience with the seniors taking them to step by step in the learning process. Our passion sets us apart from others.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Building a successful business is full of risk-taking. Yes, I have taken major risks (sleeping in my car in order to pay the rent of my office, etc.). You have to really believe in yourself in order to accomplish goals especially when it looks really bad and it looks hopeless.
