Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Villarroel.
Vanessa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Vanessa Villarroel and I am originally from Cabimas, Zulia in Venezuela. 6 years ago, I came to this country and started studying architecture at Valencia College, after a while I had to stop my university studies. Waiting to be able to continue with the career, my mom found a beauty academy and by then I already had knowledge about the makeup world and decided that it would be a great way to complement everything since the key to good makeup is good skin. I began to study and practice almost every day; I literally left work and then went to the academy to practice everything I learned. Even though the pandemic went through and many things happened, I never got discouraged and managed to finish my studies in 2020.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe that there is no smooth road if you want success. Although my journey has been pretty good so far, I of course have doubts, fears and have faced a lot of challenges. One of them I would say is the age, I’m only 22 years old and people underestimate me because of that. People get surprised by my age and think that because I’m young I haven’t learned “enough” and I don’t blame them. I let my work speak for itself. I already have proved to myself that I am capable of everything; That the number one competition is myself and my mind. Nothing else is a struggle for me.

Vanessa’s Beauty Studio focuses on generating a unique and pleasant experience connecting beauty and well-being through innovative techniques that allow us to guarantee a personalized service. We have excellent treatments for the care of your skin and your needs; the list goes from acne treatments, microneedle, dermaplaning, LED light therapy facial, deep cleaning facial to body treatments such as waxing, wood therapy, lipo laser, radiofrequency, and many more. I believe that what sets me apart from others is that everything I do has a purpose and a meaning, I want my clients to value and create awareness about their body, skin, and mind, also to learn with me in the process. Every day that passes by I am willing to learn more about the skin, new techniques, and new treatments. I am proud of myself, of my work ethic, my mentality, and my desire to improve myself every day. I never want to stop learning because knowledge is power.
How do you think about happiness?
Many things make me happy, my family, my friends, pandas, but mostly helping others. The feeling that I get when I help someone is incomparable. Knowing that I can add something good and special to someone’s life is priceless to me.

Your story is not only inspiring, but challenging. If you have reached so many things at just 22, what wouldn’t you achieved over the next 5 years from now?
Thus, I advice not only to the young Venezuelan community , but to the entire Latin American new generation millennials as well, to thrive for their dreams in this country, and not let procrastination hinder them.
