Today we’d like to introduce you to Yesdnilco.
Hi Yesdnilco, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always had a passion for art. I started off painting action figures and making new figures from broken or discarded ones. I love to draw and recreate what I’m looking at in my own way. I made a jacket that had an Owl on the back with positive affirmations and cross of materials which gained the attention of a lot of people. I reached out to a few artists who seen my work and they were interested in getting there’s done. I always ask what my clients like and I begin express their interests with creative art that tells a story of their ideas and who they are. More artists found out about me and indigo getting requests. I became will know in my surrounding areas. My work managed to make it to the B.E.T. Awards Red carpet. Definitely a major accomplishment. I started getting asked to do fashion shows back to back. Soon the brand will be going to LA, New York and Miami for fashion shows starting 2022.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a lot of hard work. Each piece is custom and does take a lot of time. Each piece is special because of the thought and craftsmanship & details put into it. I’m constantly busy making new pieces so at times, I have more than enough on my plate. But that’s ok with me because I love that it keeps me busy and gives me the opportunity to continue to stay creative and focused and express myself.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do custom designs from head to toe. Yesdnilco is full-time for me. I’m known for my unique approach to fashion with amazing jackets that tell a story. I specialized in detailing and creativity. I’m proud of where the brand has gone and most of all. Where we are going. What sets Yesdnilco apart from others is the love and dedication put into it. We care about bringing your memories to life with Art you can have a lifetime. Each custom is 1& none, we don’t make duplicates. We also big on upcycling and making art out of unwanted or discarded garments.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Me drawing pictures in school of Batman. Myself at home coloring in books and watching Saturday morning cartoons then trying to draw them.
