Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Bazzoli.
Hi Abigail, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a hairstylist based in Orlando, FL and founder of @hairpainters. I’m originally from Palermo, Sicily, a small island off the coast of southern Italy. Growing up, I was always surrounded by art and Italian culture. This influenced my love for creativity and people, which led me to find my place in the hair industry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I first started in my career, blonding and corrective color was not only intimidating but my least favorite service. In time I began to understand the concepts of lightening. What was once a challenge became an obsession and something I’m truly passionate about.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in blondes and corrective color. I love creating bright, highly detailed, modern lived-in blondes in the healthiest way possible. As a blonde specialist, I continuously challenge myself to always improve and keep up with new techniques and better, more efficient ways to create and enhance blondes to their full potential.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice is to learn as much as you can! Assist for as long as possible. The beauty industry is always changing and education is KEY to growing and building a clientele.
