Daily Inspiration: Meet Alberto Mango

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alberto Mango.

Hi Alberto, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After finishing up my projects at Universal Studios,
Marine Chevrolet in Jacksonville North Carolina requested that I build a lightweight faux Rock retaining wall and a permanent display.

Palm Springs Ford in California saw photos of my work and asked me to build three displays.
We started developing lightweight rocks for a Middle East contract that can be shipped anywhere in the world,
For resorts, theme parks and car dealerships.
Kings Dominion, Dollywood and Automotive dealerships across the Nation.
Chevrolet, Ford,Toyota, Nissan and Jeep, from New York to Florida from Delaware to California Minnesota to Texas.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been quite a difficult road,
Employees have always been a challenge, keeping quality hard-working individuals in this societ, and training them in my processes.

At times Automotive dealerships don’t appreciate aspect of scenic art.

Car dealerships are the best to work with, in the last 10 years Toyota and Jeep in Texas, Ford in Kansas and Ohio have been magnificent to work for.
And I have found we put a huge truck on top of a Mangorock display,
And we watch as people slow down and drive into the parking lot. At that point it’s worth it all!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I started out in construction and simultaneously was improving my artistic skills, even as a teen I was developing artistically.
I was hired to work on theater sets and showrooms in New Jersey and New York.
What sets us apart from others to get the owner of the company is an artist, with theme park experience, both in construction and scenic art.
And I’m having a blast doing it.
Traveling the world talking about Mangorock International,

And using proceeds for my company for philanthropy,
Building clinics and schools for orphanages, putting water systems in in Africa.
And just enjoying the wonderful people that I’ve met over the years.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
From the time I was a child I’ve radiated to family and many times to the elderly,
I’ve listened to their War stories, details of their struggles many times through the depression or the time of War, I’ve worked with them.
Always questioning
Always listening, and that is the key hearing and listening.

I enjoy the challenge of walking into sometimes difficult situations and convincing a rather skeptical car dealer that this could change the Outlook of his dealership and bring customers in the door.

I’ve enjoyed developing marketing campaigns involved by utilizing the faux Rock display.

Pricing:

  • I found that a three vehicle display is the one preferred by most car dealerships
  • Approximately $25,000
  • 23,000 for a two vehicle display
  • Theme park faux rock is usually by the square foot
