Hi Alvaro, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Brazilian and half Italian. hairdresser for 19 years before, at the age of 17, I worked at MC Donalds where I met a friend who introduced me to the hairdressing profession when I was 17, I took the course and at the age of 19 I started my own beauty studio in the garage of my house in the city of São José dos Campos, in the interior of the state of Sao Paulo Brazil. Then I worked in several salons. like Jacques Janjne, a large network of 68 units inside and outside Brazil with 2 units in Florida. In 2017 I moved to London where I worked at the GroLondon Hair and Cutting Crew salon chain. for 2 and a half years. I returned to Brazil during the pandemic and since April I came to live in the USA where I now work again at Rede Jacques Janinr windemere In the middle of my career, I worked with famous hairdressers and international photographers, such as Carlos Carrasco, hairdresser for fashion shows, and typist Andrea Sartore (Italian) where I composed the editorial for Intensity magazine in London
I am very happy and fulfilled to be able to provide an experience of beauty and self-esteem for mukgers around the world
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think every road has its dangerous curves. But with strength and perseverance we achieve our goals. The hardest part is starting over, not because I haven’t achieved success in my country, but because I have to leave everything out of fear and prejudice. for being a gay man in a country that has killed the most homosexuals in the world for 15 years. But now here in the United States I’m going to rebuild my life

I am a complete hairdresser specializing in blondes and hair extensions. I am an expert K Kerastase by LOreal 2021/2022 and international Care Coach Kerastase 2023/2024 which means being a specialist in hair and scalp treatments at the company Kerastase by LOreal What I’m most proud of is bringing satisfaction and an incredible transformative experience to my clients and what sets me apart is knowing how to listen to my clients and their needs and create exclusive hair, cuts and colors for each client’s needs and style.
How do you define success?
success is the result of a recipe that takes a lot of work, knowledge, empathy, determination, constancy, trust in God and a pinch of luck
