Alyssa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello!
I am Alyssa Perez the owner and founder of Blended Babe MUA. I started Blended Babe in 2014, at 15 years old, with the dream of making people feel beautiful and confident in their skin. Back then, it was just me, a love for makeup, and a few close friends who trusted me with their prom and homecoming looks.
Today, Blended Babe hair and makeup team continues helping women feel beautiful and confident—whether they’re walking down the aisle, stepping in front of a camera for a boudoir shoot, or simply looking for makeup tips to elevate their everyday look. Having been a bride myself, I know how overwhelming it can all feel, and my goal is always to make the process as seamless as possible. Education is a big part of what I do and I love sharing makeup tutorials, tips, and even glimpses into my daily life as a bridal makeup artist through social media. My goal is to connect with women who might feel lost or overwhelmed when it comes to finding the right artist and help them navigate the process with confidence.
I’ve worked hard to get to where I am, but I’m far from done. My dreams for Blended Babe include continuing to building a talented team of artists, and reaching more brides who want a makeup and hair team that not only cares about their big day, but them as a person. And while success in numbers is great, what drives me most is the idea of leaving a legacy—a brand that empowers and uplifts women, one look at a time.
Blended Babe is more than a business to me; it’s my way of making a difference. With every client I meet, I’m reminded why I started: to make women feel like the best versions of themselves, inside and out. And that’s exactly what I plan to keep doing, one brushstroke at a time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Owning a small business, has and will never be a smooth road, but every mistake made is a lesson learned. I started this business 10 years ago, while working full time, playing sports, having a social life and being a teen/ young adult. Blended Babe was a dream, but also a side business. It wasn’t until I was in my early-mid twenties, where I knew I needed to do this full-time to give my business a fighting chance. After seeing what covid did to the whole world, I had to figure out how to make this business full-proof and pandemic resistant; as doing makeup relies on you being face to face with someone during unknown times. I had to switch to an education mindset in order for my business to grow and once I did that, we started moving in the right direction. “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” – Albert Einstein

I’m a professional bridal makeup artist based in Central Florida, and I specialize in creating stunning, confidence-boosting looks for brides and women who want to look like themselves, but elevated. At Blended Babe, we focus on delivering a seamless, stress-free experience with personalized bridal trials, curated timelines, and a commitment to understanding each client’s unique vision.
I’ve combined my ten years of experience, passion for makeup, education and social media storytelling to not only create looks, but to educate and connect with my audience, whether it’s through tutorials, behind-the-scenes content, or sharing tips to help clients navigate the sometimes-overwhelming world of booking a makeup artist.
What I’m most proud of is building a business that empowers women because not every women gets to experience learning how to do their makeup or see them with a full face on. I’m also incredibly proud of the rebranding journey I’ve taken, which reflects how much my business has grown and where I want to go next.
What sets me apart is my deep understanding of my clients’ needs, not just as a professional but as someone who’s been in their shoes. As a former bride, I know the pressure and emotions that come with big life moments, and I aim to be a reliable, calming presence throughout the process. My dedication to communication, honesty, and reliability, paired with a brand vibe that’s sexy, dramatic, and empowering, creates an experience my clients can trust and feel excited about.

As a business owner and content creator, I am ALWAYS open to collaborations with other creatives or small business owners. I love doing social events, education on artistry or social media, content creation and styled shoots for portfolios.
