Daily Inspiration: Meet Amanda Cafcules

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Cafcules.

Hi Amanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started in the beauty industry over 15 years ago. And not a day goes by that I regret doing what I’m passionate about and being a continuous listener and friend for my guests. I opened my own salon, Hair Logic Beauty Bar 2 years ago and launched my own skincare line, Skin Logic skincare.

My passion for hair, makeup, and skin have opened new ventures in the wedding world creating the most beautiful brides! With my journey in the beauty industry, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by amazing mentors who always pushed me to be better and to give back.

That’s what led me to education and opened the entrepreneurial drive I was destined to explore. I am so great full for the opportunities that continue to bless my life and I’m so excited to share my love of the beauty industry with all of you!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No not smooth at all. As someone who is creative, it’s really easy to get burned out and need a recharge. (Sometimes we don’t get that opportunity) and work-life balance has to be a constant flow.

Then there is building your business and the trials and tribulations that go with that. Did I do it right? Will I fail? We are our biggest critics. And that’s ok, but I learned to stay humble and it’s ok to fail as long as we fail forward.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love pampering my guests during the washhouse experience.

They love the ritual of a hydrating eye mask and a hand lotion massage and of course letting their worries wash away with the suds. I am a full-service hair salon specializing in blonding, balayage, extensions (all methods) precision cutting, men’s grooming, bridal, and makeup.

I’m all about education so the more I educate my guests on new trends and the health of their hair the more they trust me and are willing to try and buy new things.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Always say yes and don’t be afraid to fail, that’s how we learn and get better. And eat the biggest piece of humble pie, no one likes a know it. The last thing is always find a way to give back. When you put people first success will follow.
