Daily Inspiration: Meet Ana Munley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Munley

Ana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Ana and I was born in Venezuela and moved to Pennsylvania when I was seven years old. The adjustment in moving from a different continent and culture to trying to assimilate to this new country and way of life had its challenges, but those challenges were proven to be made easier with my supportive family. My dad had his own practice and my mom did her absolute best to raise me and my sister in a totally new place where they didn’t speak her native language. She excelled at making sure my sister and I had friends and events to go to, activities to participate in, and felt every bit included in our new world. My dad worked so hard (still does with the help of my mom being his right hand man). I went to college at Kutztown University for psychology in the hopes of following in my dad’s footsteps, but that didn’t pan out. I quickly realized I didn’t have a love for psychology the way he did. Fast forward a couple of years and I landed my first corporate job at Wells Fargo. I loved the banking industry and found a role within mortgage department that combined my new found love of finance, with my first passion, real estate. After about 10 years in the finance world, 2 kids later, my husband and I made the decision to move to Florida. With a new move and a new life, came the opportunity to pursue a new career. That’s when I decided to get my real estate license and I haven’t regretted it yet.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life is anything but a smooth ride, but I’m not someone easily spooked so I’ve taken the bumps along the way and tried my best to roll with the punches. Moving from Venezuela to Pennsylvania was a culture shock to say the least. I had trouble with things that most kids around me wouldn’t even think twice about. Spanish was my first language and I was able to pick up on English fairly quickly, but the day to day words and grammar tripped me up for quite some time. That really grew insecurities in me for the longest time. I was lucky enough to be a very social girl, and that facilitated in me making friends and successful throughout my school aged years. Later in life I struggled with finding my foot in the corporate world. At the time I got my first job at Wells Fargo, I was going through a divorce and had recently moved back in with my parents during that time. I will say, nothing makes you feel like a failure quite like approaching your 30s and living at home with your child and having your successful parents help you out.. but thank God for them. With their support and encouragement I was able to keep pushing forward and land on my feet.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Since my early 20s I developed an interest in real estate. My first corporate job was in the banking industry so I meshed the two together and joined the Mortgage world. I did that role for several years until 2024, when I decided to invest and bet on myself by pursuing a career in Real Estate as an agent. The road to obtaining my real estate license was relatively easy in comparison to finding a brokerage and team that would not only support me as a new agent, but provide opportunities for growth. Luckily, I was able to get in touch with Amanda Binns from Strickland Realty, and she has made joining a brokerage team, an extremely enjoyable and rewarding experience.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happy? Being with family and raising my kids to know and love God. Being able to provide a childhood for them that’s full of happy and fun memories. I want my kids to look back and cherish the time we spent together and know that they were loved above all else.

It makes me incredibly happy to be able to support my husband in achieving his dreams, Nurturing our relationship by supporting one another has been a true source of joy for me.
