Today we’d like to introduce you to Anjel Entity
Hi Anjel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Miami, which where I discovered my passion for entertainment and education early on. Growing up, I was immersed in influenced heavily by Miami’s melting pot culture, finding inspiration in its music, art, and the diverse community around me. Back in 2001, I founded the boyband SoFL we crafted a sound that blends Miami perfectly in music mixing Latin, pop, and contemporary sounds, and today, our music is available on all streaming platforms.
After graduating from Florida International University, I made the decision to move to the Orlando area seven years ago to pursue a career as a teacher. While teaching, I remained committed to my musical roots, continuing my journey with SoFL.
Living in Orlando also opened up new opportunities for me, and I decided to explore the digital space. I launched my TikTok account under the handle @AnjelEntity, focusing on theme parks and comedy, and I’ve been lucky enough to gain over 40,000 followers. Through my platform, I showcase not only the theme parks but also the wide range of events and attractions that Central Florida has to offer, expressing my love for entertainment to engage and inspire my audience.
Today, I continue to balance my love for music and digital content creation, becoming a prominent influencer in the Orlando area while staying true to my Miami roots and my long-standing commitment to SoFL.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I grew up in a low-income household in Miami, and life was anything but stable. We moved from apartment to apartment constantly because my mom was always late on the rent. On top of that, the water and lights were frequently disconnected because she would gamble away our money at the Miccosukee casino. It was tough, but I refused to let those hardships hold me back.
Even though we faced so much instability, I kept my focus sharp. I pushed myself to excel in school, knowing it was my way out. At the same time, I channeled my energy into SoFL, working tirelessly to improve our music and keep the band moving forward. The struggles I went through became my motivation; I used every difficult moment as fuel to push myself higher and reach for more.
Despite everything, I stayed committed to my dreams. I knew I couldn’t control my circumstances, but I could control my response to them. I let those challenges shape me, and they taught me resilience and determination. Today, I’m grateful for the lessons I learned through those tough times because they made me stronger and fueled my passion for music and entertainment.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Outside of music, my other major focus is influencing on TikTok. I specialize in comedy, theme parks, and whatever cool events I can get myself to. I became known for a series of skits where I’d throw sandals at Harry Potter characters, which really resonated with people and helped me grow my following. From there, I started including theme parks in my content, mixing my comedy, brand, and personality into everything I create.
What I believe sets me apart is my approach to content. My ultimate goal is simple: to make someone smile or laugh. Even if it’s just for a moment, I want my audience to feel that joy. I know comedy, in general, and even my comedy style isn’t for everyone, but I’m proud of the small yet growing community I’ve built around it. It’s been amazing to see how people connect with the things I find funny and how my content brings a little light into their day.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice for people starting out their TikTok journey is to be consistent and keep going. When I first began, things moved really slowly; it was frustrating at times, but I kept making content. I kept refining my approach and experimenting to find what worked. The key is not to be afraid of trying new things. Expect to fail a few times, but see those failures as opportunities to learn and build upon.
Influencing can be challenging, especially in the beginning when it feels like nobody takes you seriously. But how you respond to that is crucial. Follow your heart, stay true to your vision, and don’t let the haters get to you. Everyone’s journey is different, but if you stay persistent, keep improving, and remain authentic, you’ll find your audience. It’s all about showing up, putting in the work, and believing in what you’re creating.
