Today we’d like to introduce you to Bozo.
Hello Bozo, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I started Bozo back in 2017 when I was a sophomore in high school. I met Kyle when he was running down the hallway in between classes. We started talking about our similar music tastes and that eventually led to us moving in together after high school. We spent a year and a half together in Citrus County recording our album “Another Happy Landing” and our double EP “Off the Rails” before moving out to Mount Dora. – Vincent Ciaccio (Guitarist, Bassist, Vocals).
We had gotten a call that our previous drummer was leaving the band after our release of “Off the Rails”. So we had turned to the only person stupid enough to play with us, Jade Koth. We met Jade during a few music videos shoots back when we were living in Citrus County. We called him up the night we got the notice our previous drummer was leaving, and he jumped right in. We spent the last year or so writing new material and refining our set for live shows. – Kyle Hoff (Guitarist, Bassist, Vocals).
I came in with the intent to just do a few shows initially until Vinny and Kyle proposed to me in front of a live crowd. Forcing me to join Bozo. Since then, we’ve played over 35 shows together in the last year. It took time getting our chemistry while rehearsing and also getting to know each other personally. We’ve been fortunate to network and make friends with a lot of people on the scene. Kyle keeps us busy, which is fun! – Jade Koth (Drums)
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Distance and time can sometimes be a nuisance. Because I live over an hour away from these guys, we make it work. – Jade Koth (Drums).
Finding time to get us all together to be productive like going to the studio or writing can sometimes be hindered by our work/show schedules. As well as where we are located from each other. Self-aware of it and make sure we find the time to just hang out or go do the other things that makeup being a band. – Vincent Ciaccio (Guitar, Bass, Vocals).
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I dig the energy the 3 of us bring collectively. Whenever I play shows with these guys, it’s genuinely fun from start to finish. These guys specialize in embracing their top potential which always creates a carefree but safe environment at shows. – Jade Koth (Drums).
We specialize in killing it! Making every show a unique experience not only for the crowd but for the three of us as well. Every time we see people digging us it always makes us go a little harder. – Kyle Hoff (Guitarist, Bassist, Vocals).
It’s only genuine and we’re having a great time doing what we do. We just wanna come out and play shows, put out music people enjoy, and try to spin the wheel just a bit further. – Vincent Ciaccio (Guitarist, Bassist, Vocals).
What does success mean to you?
These days anyone coming out to the shows feels like a success. When people come up to us after the show and tell us they liked our set, or say nice things in general, feels like success to us. – Kyle Hoff (Guitarist, Bassist, Vocals).
Just enjoying what’s going on and being present. If it’s good, then it’s good. If it’s not, then you feel it. – Jade Koth (Drums).
