Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Whiting.
Hi Brian , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I deployed with the 167 LRS Airborne Ranger unit in Iraq from 05-07, did some odd jobs when I came back state side. Published a Sci- Fi series called Galactic Startup. Its available on kindle via Amazon. I got my AA degree and became an adjuster for a couple large insurance companies. Did that for +5 years, then I worked for a local roofing company for +5 years. I didn’t like the way they were doing business so I decided to start my own roofing company that would put people first and serve with integrity.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Its been a difficult road, went through a marriage then a divorce and now am very happily re-married to my soul mate of 5 years. Its the most perfect marriage that I think could ever possibly exist, its better then Disney perfect.
Leaving my stable job in the other roofing company was extremely risky for my family and has not yet borne financial fruit yet, we are certainly feeling a financial pinch and looking for ways to overcome that challenge as we speak. Its doesn’t help that we have 5 kids between us lol.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Harmony Roofing covers all of Central Florida area from St. Petersburg to St Augustine and everything in between. We can inspect roofs and make recommendations regarding Insurance claims, especially since I myself was an adjuster. We can install Shingle Roofs, Metals Roofs, Tile Roofs, Modified Bid Self adhered roofing, TPO roofing, roofing coatings, gutters, and even do repairs.
I focus on keeping my employees happy, and customers happy. If they are happy then I believe the company will naturally do well. Help prove me correct.
How do you think about happiness?
My wife without a doubt makes me more happy than anything else I’ve ever experienced in my life. I can never get tired of her presence we never have had a fight about anything, I always find excuses for us to be together and If I could find a way to afford to employ her in my company I certainty would.
Why? Well she lights up the room and is my arm candy everywhere I go. I am proud to be her Husband with what she has accomplished and gone through in life. She supports me in any decision or anything I am passionate about and I do the same with her. She is funny and kind, loves spending time with me as much as I do with her. There are never enough cuddles in the world to satisfy each other, we love traveling and doing naughty adventures together and sharing in those experiences. Simply being near her re-energizes me and make life instantly better. Us together is joy in a bottle and nothing compares.
