Daily Inspiration: Meet Cheryl Snyder

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheryl Snyder.

Hi Cheryl, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
As an avid rock, crystal, and fossil collector from childhood during the pandemic I explored the mineral and crystal world deeper online through social media by attending live crystal sales. Seeing other people talking about and selling crystals got me thinking this was something I could do too! I did some research and decided to open my business in November 2020. Over the last 3 years, I’ve been able to connect with the crystal community and offer beautiful crystals and crystal education to people all across the country.

This past April, I facilitated my first group trip to Arkansas to dig for clear quartz. We all had a great time and I look forward to offering more trips in the future. In addition to connecting people with crystals, I’m also a Certified Crystal Practitioner offering chakra balancing and crystal therapy sessions in person or distance and I also practice Reiki. I love helping others enhance their lives with crystals!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being a small business owner can be challenging as you learn to navigate every aspect of running a business. Getting your name out there can be challenging. I’m like a sponge trying to soak up as much info as possible. Going out to events to meet people in person is something I enjoy since we can have that face-to-face connection while sharing stories and providing people with crystals that will be most beneficial to them.

There have been highs and lows and I’m learning to manage expectations and outcomes and learning where I can be most helpful to the community. I’ve joined my local chamber of commerce and also received some business coaching from SCORE and hired a personal coach. I’d definitely say it’s beneficial to use the free resources available to you and invest in your business and yourself as often as you can because it will make a difference!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a small business owner who provides high-quality crystals and crystal jewelry along with education to my customers and clients to help enhance their lives. I love connecting people with crystals and also offer crystal therapy and chakra balancing sessions. Anyone who follows me knows I love Arkansas Quartz and I provide free self-mined Arkansas Quartz pieces with every online order.

I love traveling to Arkansas to mine for quartz and this year I was able to organize a trip and take people with me to share in an experience that I love. I really enjoy connecting with people and business a relationship and I’ve gotten great feedback on my customer service. People truly know I care and they know they can reach out to me with any questions about crystals.

They also appreciate how I hand-select most of my crystals ensuring that I’m offering the best quality crystals. I love being able to travel to gem shows across the country and knowing when someone purchases from me that their crystals were picked with intention.

What’s next?
I look forward to growing my business and this year have started offering my crystals in 3 different brick-and-mortar stores across central Florida. I’m looking to expand to more stores that would be a good fit to continue connecting people with crystals. I’m also excited to share my services of crystal education workshops and crystal therapy both one on one and in group sessions.

I look forward to planning more trips and retreats that add not only crystal mining but wellness like yoga and sound baths. I love all things wellness and love hearing how people are improving their lives. I love inspiring people to live their best lives!
