Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Hitt.
Hi Christine, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story begins as someone who wanted to work in the Entertainment Industry, though not exactly sure where I would fit in.
I started working as an extra / background performer in 2005. From there I spoke to everyone on set, from AC’s to DP’s to Craft Services, anyone who was willing to show me the ropes. I was always interested in the big picture, how everyone had their role to play, but worked together to accomplish the big picture.
I then grew into a SAG actress. I traveled from my hometown of Orlando to New York and then to LA. With the support of my husband, I have had the honor of working with some of films most talented actors such as Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore in Non-Stop.
In 2014, I formed Hitt House Productions and have had the privilege to work with some amazing companies such as Walt Disney World while also producing several commercials, training videos and producing 2 award winning short films.
I have always been passionate about putting my skills and dedication to work for my clients, as well as my experience. Today, I have an amazing team of talented and hardworking individuals who strive to achieve the same goal as mine. Produce high quality and professional assets to our clients.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Though I would not say pursuing what you love is always easy, I can definitely say it is absolutely rewarding.
The scariest moment for me was leaving the security of a 9-5 job for the unknown. I had no real connections in the industry and no network of contacts to rely on for work. I have spent the last 8 years fostering and developing relationships to produce reliable work sources.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am currently focused on expanding Hitt House Productions into many different avenues of the entertainment industry.
One of our latest expansions has taken Hitt House Productions to the high seas via Disney Cruise Lines!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Honesty and trust. Having a team I can count on is everything. It allows me to trust those individuals and know that they will perform each task to the best of their abilities. This empowers them to make smart decisions, while allowing me to oversee the big picture and avoid micromanaging. I love to give each person the opportunity to rise and fall so they can learn from their mistakes and strive to better themselves. That’s what life and this industry is all about, right?
These business principals are the same ones I try to live my life by and pass on to my two beautiful children.
