Today we’d like to introduce you to Dakota Seger.
Hi Dakota, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Dakota Seger and I am the owner of Tribe Hair and Company. It is a studio-based salon and I chose this way as it is more private and comforting for my guest. I am a second-generation hairstylist and I practically grew up in the salon with my mom. I learned in high school that I had a passion for beauty and making others feel at their best. I strive to provide quality service by taking multiple pieces of training and courses throughout the year. I also love educating another stylist as I specialize in lived-in hair coloring and hair extensions.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The beginning of any stylist’s career is rocky gaining guest trust as a baby stylist but thankfully I had a great salon team behind me and my mom to help me understand all the missing components they just don’t teach you in cosmetology school.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in live in coloring and hair extensions. Lived-in coloring is a method of coloring that just blends so well and looks very natural with no definite stopping or starting point. Lived in coloring gives my clients the most longevity as everyone has such different and busy lives. I also offer all types of hair extension methods. I am two times certified with high-end companies. I offer hand-tied extensions as well as tape-ins, I tips, and k tips. I will be soon adding in semi-permanent toppers as I want to cater to every guest’s hair needs whether they just need a little volume, or length, or have started thinning in their crown area.
What matters most to you? Why?
My guest’s happiness and quality of work. I take pride in my work and make sure my guest is as happy as can be and we have realistic expectations that were met for every appointment. I know my quality of work speaks for itself and my name is associated with that.
