Hi David, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Fight Bananas was & is a combat sports media outlet. Fight Bananas for three years did not have original content & when I joined the team, I started as just a writer.
I started the Fight Bananas Podcast over 400 podcasts ago & that developed into The Dave Van Auken Show.
Started as a writer, transition into. Podcaster and now a co-owner.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing in life is ever smooth, lol.
There is always ups and downs especially when we at Fight Bananas is the underdog.
But, I would say one of the toughest challenges is to find people who want it as bad as you do.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

Definitely proud of what Fight Bananas was three years ago to what it is today!
What sets us apart is most definitely my hair, lol.
Any big plans?
Always hard to have absolute future plans especially in today’s climate, I am so focused on day to day tasks. However, I would say we have some big things brewing and opportunities that we are going to capitalize on!
