Daily Inspiration: Meet Deana Romano

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deana Romano

Hi Deana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I didn’t have intentions on becoming a content creator, it just happened and I’m so happy it did. We lived in Florida for over ten years when we decided to move to Ohio to be closer to my husbands family. But, we wound up only being there for ten months because we missed Florida. I made my account when we lived there during the pandemic. When we moved back to Florida, the theme parks opened and I started posting about when we would visit, merchandise and just all the Orlando happenings. Reels were a new feature at that time and I taught myself via YouTube videos how to make them. I started doing them just for fun and that’s what made my account take off. I have been posting them every day consistently and it’s helped me grow. On my own I’ve managed to build my brand and make a name for myself in the Orlando area. My account is focused on the theme parks, fashion and all the different restaurants and resorts in the area. I stay consistent and that’s what keeps me going and got me to where I am

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s not been a smooth road. Personally, I’ve never had issues with online trolls and negative comments from people but, the content creator community can be tough. There’s a competition mindset that I just don’t have or understand. Navigating that has been the hardest part. I believe there is space for everyone and we should lift each other up and support each other. We should root each other on and build each other up. Unfortunately, not everyone has that mentality and that’s the hardest part for me.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known for my reels and I’m also known for the outfits that I wear to events. I always match the setting around me no matter where I am. For example, I was invited to the Wicked Experience opening at Universal so I make sure that what I’m wearing coordinates with that. For a Christmas event recently I hung ornaments all over my dress. People have learned to expect that I’m going to be wearing something fun and fashionable. People have also always called me the Reels Queen because I post a lot of them. They are relatable, funny and informative. What sets me apart is how consistent I stay and the quality of my content. Everything is bright and colorful,
It’s crystal clear and it’s extensively detailed.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to always believe in yourself. It’s so easy to compare journeys and you have to remember that what’s meant for you will always come to you. Everything will happen when it’s supposed to as long as you don’t give up. Don’t ever give up. Keep going and keep trying and you’ll get where you want to be. If you love something like I love making content, people will genuinely see you and believe in you. The wait is worth it. Don’t ever give up.
