Today we’d like to introduce you to Diahnn Perry.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It started with me just wanting a 1000 sqt ft to create art outside of my home. My good friend Lianna D’Angelo need a rent partner for her Real Estate company. We selected a location in the Aubuion park area she would have the front and I could work in the back. When it came time to open, the area started buzzing about the new art gallery that was opening in the area. I started thinking Art gallery I was not opening an art gallery, just a studio to work in and I would hang my in the front so clients would see it. Well, one thing leaded to another and the space became a full art gallery and event venue, hosting different small events like weddings concerts, spoken word and art events to support young artist and up and coming giving them a space to show their work. As things progress, the events started getting larger and I saw that I would need a space, that is how I ended up in the Parramore Ave. Location 4000 sqt ft and a area of land for an outdoor garden. But as we all know covid-9 show up in early 2020 pushing the grand opening of the new Gallery location to Aug 2021 no set date yet but I am back on track with the buildout of Art@ Diahnn Perry
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it has not be a smooth road, like I stated cover-9 had really stopped everything and the fit that I had no idea how to a gallery should run scared me, but I knew I loved it and I loved help the kids and the up and coming, so I study a lot and I know what I did and did not want, I also need that I would need people in the business to help me people like Tre a dear friend.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

I think people know me for my compassion and eagerness to help others, I also reach art at the boys and girls club in the Parramore area. Which I love.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes I have to be steadfast and focus for this to shell pass this bump in the road does not have to define me as a failure. It made me slow down and really think about my choices, and that I was not going to give up.
