Today we’d like to introduce you to Gloria McCall.
Hi Gloria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story began 2 years ago as I conversed with the Lord (short version).
Lord’s words: Gloria, I want you to teach others to become entrepreneurs.
My response: Lord, how & what am I to teach?
Lord’s words: You decide! I strategically placed you in leadership roles over the years (Executive, VP & CEO) to prepare you for this journey.
My response: Lord, I think I want to teach individuals how to start their own fingerprint business in FL
Lord’s words: Don’t think, start doing! The assignment isn’t just FL; I need you to help people in the USA & abroad, so get busy!
My response: What should I name the company?
Lord’s response: You are intelligent enough to come up with a name; remember that the company will be global.
My response: It will be done.
USA Mobile Fingerprinting Inc. was born from this short conversation with the Lord!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been smooth & stress-free. The biggest challenge has been traveling to various states to teach classes (500 individuals). My family & friends suggested that I teach classes online, which will generate more income & eliminate travel. I must continually remind them that the Lord has given me clear instructions and that I can not, nor will I deviate.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As the President of USA Mobile Fingerprinting Inc., I teach, motivate & provide the tools necessary to develop a fingerprinting business. My professional skills in budget admin, negotiations, team building, grant writing, strategic planning, fund development, market research, policy/procedures, and revenue generation have afforded me exemplary communication & writing skills. My specialty is being in the people business! I enjoy bringing people together, both professionally & personally. As a young child, I always knew that my purpose in life was to help others. I am most proud of adopting my daughter as a single career woman (adopted at 11 months, she is now 27 years old). I believe my obedience to God sets me apart from others in the business world. I am not financially driven, but people-driven!
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I am the 4th daughter of 5 siblings & was a daddy’s girl. My parents were very strict with me after having 3 older daughters. My parents allowed me to work my first year in college, and that job was filing documents. I disliked this job immensely, but I remembered my mom reiterating, “You should always be the best in any & all jobs.” These words molded me to develop my work ethic & become the leader that I am. I am an extremely confident individual & thrive on challenges. My life is transparent & my greatest strength is listening to others and providing constructive criticism. From elementary to high school, I was always in leadership positions (senior class VP, Co-Captain of the colored guards, etc.). During my college years, I became interested in becoming a congressional person. However, the interest dissipated after working for the Federal Government for 10 years.
