Today we’d like to introduce you to Heart Vergara.
Hi Heart, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Growing up as a little kid, I’ve always been driven towards art and fashion. Watching my mom sew, paint and just create something out of nothing, made me look at her as an inspiration, and every chance I get I try to learn from her. Sometimes there are some times where my mom only knew how to do certain things, so I’d turn to YouTube to learn and teach myself. Through YouTube, I’ve learned to manage to do a lot of things such as editing designs for clothing pieces, how to manufacture clothes, and more. Once I’ve learned the skills that I need to run a clothing brand, I started experimenting with garments, design application techniques, and more. Without realizing I would post these on social media, and people loved it. So, I have started manufacturing these clothes in bulks, having official photoshoots for it. And now we are in our process of our 3rd drop for our clothing brand.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Along the way, it a lot of bumps in the road. Whether picking up extra hours for work so I can help fund this small business of mine or staying up late at night working on some designs for clothes or perfecting the application on the garment. It was a learning experience to face those kinds of bumps in the road.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Best way to describe my clothing brand is that we try our best include art, culture, and fashion at the same time. We try to send out a message with every design, whether it is words, graphics,s or just the garment in general. I feel like every single piece that I have released/dropped is my proud piece.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I would say patience and balance because success doesn’t just happen overnight. You have to have a lot of patience. I also did say balance because it is always important to balance your life off your business. I myself learned it the hard way to not always be focused on your business because that just starts stress, and stress for both your business and life is bad.
