Daily Inspiration: Meet Jae Johnson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jae Johnson.

Hi Jae, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started about 23 years ago doing house parties. Then when we got tired of cleaning the house the next day, we moved on to bars and clubs. Been successful by producing some amazing long-running events and shows. About five years ago started to get into giving back the community. So then my team and myself started doing Toy Drives, Back To School Events, Turkey Give A Ways and other things.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not smooth at all. In the business, I’m in it’s hard to trust others. I mean, I would like too, but not everyone has a common goal. Good percentage of people will want from you but not give what what’s deserved. One thing I tried, was to show the people I worked with, worked for me and did business for that I’m a hard worker, admit my mistakes and never take anything for granted.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Well, I kinda have my hands in different things. Primary I’ve been producing events in nightlife here in ORLANDO for about 23 years. I’ve also organized private, corporate and even wedding events. I guess I specialize in showing people a good time and memories. When Covid hit, I also got into the Insurance business. I own a Teeth Whitening business. In my work, I’m most proud of two of my longest-running events that people still talk about. Also, my giving back work… I think those events bring a great feeling to me. I try my best to help as much as I can, if I had the means of doing it I would love to do that a lot more than what I do now.

I don’t know what sets me apart from others.

I don’t compare myself to anyone else but I also know there isn’t another one else like me.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Always be honest even if you know it’s brutal, but never mean to do harm. I’ve been told that I’m a stand-up guy so, I try my best to be that guy. My success comes from, My hard work and 100% my team and mentors… My past and present team. I wouldn’t be or do the things I have without them.
