Hi Jennifer & Lauret, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our story has been a long time in the making, as we have been traveling, cooking, shopping, laughing, and best of all, sharing it as sisters and best friends since we were kids. Whether at home, or more frequently, on the go, we live to create the best experiences and share them with those we love. After our family trip to SoCal a couple of years ago, our passion finally bubbled over, and we decided to share it with others. We decided to launch Luxurysis, a travel and lifestyle guide sure to motivate our followers to live it up! From incredible itineraries to fresh food, fabulous fashion and a luxe lifestyle, we hope to inspire our followers to make the most of every day!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like so many women starting new endeavors, balancing family with careers can be challenging. Whenever one of us is in the creative mood, cooks an inspiring meal, hosts a fun party or travels to a dream destination, we embrace inspiration whenever it hits! Sometimes, one of us has more free time to advance our projects, and we try to be flexible. We are extremely lucky to have one another to share our experiences with and to help one another find balance. We also have had to deal with the fact that social media is a saturated market, especially the travel market, so we have tried to be creative as to how to differentiate our brand and make ourselves stand out.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We create luxury trips, and then we share our experiences and itineraries with others in order to inspire others to get out there in the world and explore. We post travel tips and in-depth reviews of places we have traveled to in order to make travel more attainable for others looking for advice, and we hope to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone by exploring someplace new. For instance, we have recently traveled to the Galapagos, Mallorca, Paris for the Olympics and Chicago. Some people fear they can’t travel with young children and others worry about the unknown, whether it be safety or just exploring someplace new, so we strive to show others ways to overcome their fears and lead their best lives. We also love shopping for trips and getting some new wardrobe essentials for our trips. Who doesn’t want to feel fabulous on a trip by wearing some new fashion?! We also post about products we use on our trips, things that make travel to that particular location easier, such as reef-friendly sunscreen for the Galapagos. In addition to featuring trendy restaurants from our travels on our blog, we also recreate meals from our travels at home to share with our followers. We understand that travel is an expensive hobby, so our motto is that “we bring home our travels to you” so that we make luxe living attainable for everyone. Finally, we love hosting holidays (yes, we are foodies and love entertaining and decorating), so we frequently share our get-togethers and tips for hosting with our followers. We are most proud of the fact that we inspire people to get out of their comfort zones in order to lead their best lives!
