Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Hartman.
Hi Jessica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
April 2020, I clicked submit on a business opportunity with some hair products I was using called monat. One month into the pandemic, I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going but I knew I liked these products I was using, and the results it was giving me, and that I wanted to make some extra money doing something I already did on social media. A couple of months in, I saw the bigger picture of what this opportunity could do for me and my life. I was burnt out mentally from this pandemic and I just spent the last year planning my wedding. My anxiety and depression had control over my life. — & I was slaving away 8 hours a day chained to a desk, coming home to cook, then binge Netflix the rest of the night to escape. I had no purpose, no passion, no hobbies.
I Had no idea what personal development even was or why it was important. As I started working this business, it taught me how impactful it really was and why we needed it. I wasn’t going to do that work on my own. This business is what opened that world up for me. As the months flew by, I dived into self-development so deep that I started seeing my mindset change, what I used to think I could never do, I started seeing it as – why not me? Why can’t I do this too? Not only did I start taking control back over my life but also my mental health as well. I started getting uncomfortable, pushing past my comfort zone and with that came new ideas, new business ventures, bigger dreams! I am making money from my phone, helping people feel good about themselves, switch them to cleaner products, see their hair transform and not just changing my life but others along with it! Helping others add another source of income to their life to make an impact for them financially and mentally!
I then found the confidence to start a podcast, something I always dreamed about but never thought would happen. Shortly after that, my husband and I opened up our own business making home goods & custom wood designs. I felt alive. I found my passion, I found my purpose — following that, I earned my first free trip with my company monat. It’s been so liberating unlocking a version of me I never knew existed. Creating the life and freedom, I always dreamed of. Now I get to change people’s lives every day and help them find their power too!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh def not, but that’s the beauty that comes with that. For any entrepreneur, you face roadblocks — big and small. I’ve come to learn that everything happens for me not to me and the beauty is in that journey.
Learning and growing about yourself. The struggles make you stronger, thats what gives you character and shapes where you are going. Your struggles and hardships are someone else’s survival guide. That is what makes you so real and relatable through all of this.

Since I work in network marketing, I have the freedom to create my own work schedule my own work hours how and when I get to work. I get to use social media every day to connect with others build relationships and most importantly just be myself. I get to talk about beauty but I also get to share my thoughts on mental health, I get to be creative when making content and I get to showcase my creative side through my post and stories. I get to help others brand themselves and use social media for a positive purpose. At the end of the Day, I get to be known for just being real and authentic. What you see is what you get.
Any big plans?
Building my dream home, traveling more, & making memories with my husband. My business just launched in Australia! October is a big month! That has been something that I’ve been looking forward to and building over there. It’s been so fun Reaching more people, connecting with them, and making more friendships with people around the world. Love connecting with other creatives and like-minded businesswomen. I look forward to having more guest on my podcast also coming up in the next few months!
