Today we’d like to introduce you to JR Roberson.
Hi JR , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After 15 years in the RV sales industry, I had a front row seat to the highs and lows as the market rose and fell. That experience pushed me to step back and really look at where trends were heading, and all signs kept pointing to social media. I went deeper into understanding how people engage online and started searching for something that fit both my personality and my passion for business. That is when the photo booth industry stood out to me. Nearly 80 percent of people who take photos post them online, and that creates a powerful opportunity for small businesses. With branded photos that include their name and logo, businesses gain organic marketing as those images are shared across social media and seen by thousands of people. That ability to help local businesses grow their visibility is what inspired me to start my photo booth business, along with my strong desire as an entrepreneur to work for myself and build something meaningful.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Getting started has not been easy. A lot of people do not fully understand the value of a photo booth as a marketing tool until they actually use it and see how the photos are shared and how people interact with them online. Once they see their brand being posted, tagged, and talked about, the value becomes clear. Right now, my biggest focus is getting my name out there and getting in front of more people, because I know once businesses experience it firsthand, they see how powerful it can be. As an entrepreneur, that challenge excites me, because I believe strongly in what I am building and the impact it can have for local businesses.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At my core, I am a people focused entrepreneur with a strong background in sales and relationship building. I spent many years in the RV industry, where I became known as one of the top salespeople because I genuinely enjoy working with people and helping them find what they are looking for. That same skill set carries directly into what I do today. I specialize in helping businesses and event hosts use photo booths not just for fun, but as a marketing tool that creates real engagement and visibility online. What I am most proud of is my ability to connect with people, understand their needs, and help them succeed. What sets me apart is my sales mindset combined with a service driven approach. I believe in unlimited income tied to effort, the harder I work, the more people I can help, and the more value I can create for businesses looking to grow their brand through organic, shareable content.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
One thing that often surprises people about me is how much my Christian faith influences the way I do business and live my life. My values are rooted in faith, and I believe that has guided me through challenges, growth, and change over the years. It has taught me to lead with integrity, serve others first, and genuinely care about the people I work with. I see my work not just as a way to earn a living, but as an opportunity to help others succeed, encourage them, and make a positive impact. My faith continues to shape how I treat people, how I handle business, and why helping others grow is so important to me.
