Daily Inspiration: Meet Karen Cobbs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Cobbs

Hi Karen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised showing Clydesdale horses. I was born in Manitoba Canada. Married my husband which was from the Midwest which also showed Clydesdales. We operate a large hay production in the Midwest supplying private operations and feed stores in Florida; which prompted our move of one of the largest Clydesdale breeding operations in the world to move locations.
We have been in Florida for 13 years training, breeding and traveling all over North America showing the most recognizable breed of horse in the world.
Moving to the horse capital of the world which is Marion County….we decided to open our gates to the general public for tours so people could enjoy and learn what a true working Clydesdale operation is all about.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle has been finding good dependable help that can handle the care these horses need.
So when we completed our move we decided it was going to be a family operated operation.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What sets me apart from others is I do everything…
