Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Moore.
Hi Kelly, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I moved to Florida in November 2016 with my husband to be closer to family and live in a warmer climate. I had 10+ years sales experience at the time. I landed on an opportunity in the merchant services industry (credit card processing) and initially planned to work on a temporary basis until a job with a guaranteed salary came along. I grew to love working in the industry and really providing value to business hours by not only setting them up with a better program but also helping them close out previous accounts which potentially saves them additional thousands of dollars a year. Looking back on the last 9 years I wouldn’t change the choice I made to be in this industry. I LOVE going to work every day!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was a challenge at first because I had never worked in an industry where I had no salary guarantee. It was especially challenging because I started working in the industry when I had just moved to Florida and had to rebuild my professional network. I moved to a new state with no guaranteed income. It took over a month to get my first sale. It took time to build a good reputation as a professional in an industry that has a very high turnover rate.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been sales for over 20 years. For 9 of those years (since moving to Florida) I have been in the merchant services industry.
I am proud of the fact that I moved to a new state and was able to rebuild a professional network.
I am proud of being in several professional organizations where I’ve served in leadership positions. I most recently served as President of my BNI chapter and was voted by my peers as the 2025 chapter member of the year. I also serve on the BNI Northeast Florida Director/ Launch team.
I’ve served as regional and club leadership in Toastmasters. I’m a Distinguished Toastmaster (less than 1% of over 300,000 Toastmasters worldwide achieve this).
I’m on the board of directors for the Port Orange South Daytona chamber of commerce and Board chair for 2026.
I’m also involved in my Church finance team, The Daytona Regional chamber of commerce and the Boss Lady Community.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My first and I feel the most important piece of advice would be to approach this with a servant’s heart. If you’re willing to help others first it will naturally come back ten fold.
I would highly recommend getting involved and diversify your networking in more than one organization. It’s never too late start. As you show up at events and are consistent people start to trust you and that will lead to business gained and given.
