Today we’d like to introduce you to Keon’ne Mason.
Hi Keon’ne , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I founded Color Me Queen in my heart as a child but started in reality in early 2020. Color me Queen is for all women. No matter the shape, size or color. I grew up with heavy insecurities. I felt that I was the ugly duckling for a while. Sad to say I didn’t get comfortable in my skin until my late 20s. I want all women, young girls and ladies to understand it’s ok to be you unapologetically! What are you suppose to look like? Society places this box around us that determines what the view of a “woman” is. Every woman is a queen! Wear your crown proudly. It’s ok if it falls a little bit, just don’t just up. Pick it up. I don’t want women to feel like in the world full of demands that women miss their demand on what they truly want and shine through it all. My website offers merchandise and a blog as well.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No it has not been a smooth ride. I’ve experienced depression and anxiety at it’s high doing these times. I found it being hard to motivate myself while uplifting women around me. Like how can I tell you you’re beautiful but fighting the voice and the image of me becoming blurred. But it’s a push and God’s grace. It’s the faith knowing that I’m not doing it for just me. I’m not ashamed of the experiences I’ve been through just want at least one person to know not to give up and keep pushing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
