Hi Kim, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
was given up for adoption as an infant and raised in a faith based home as a preacher’s kid. My journey wasn’t easy,I became a teenage mother, faced homelessness, and endured personal hardships that could have broken me. But instead, they shaped me.
One of the most pivotal moments in my life came when I was falsely accused of something I didn’t do. It was a devastating blow, shaking me to my core and forcing me into a place of isolation and deep reflection. In that dark season, I became more in tune with the calling over my life. I realized that everything I had been through wasn’t meant to break me but to build me. That’s when I truly stepped into my purpose.
Despite the challenges, I held onto faith and perseverance, determined to create a better future. I built multiple businesses, including TK Kustom Express, a custom printing brand, and Tailormade Kreationz, a party rental and entertainment company. But my true calling has always been pouring into others.
I founded a nonprofit dedicated to children with incarcerated parents, providing them with mentorship, support, and a safe space. I also lead Jewels on Purpose, a women’s empowerment group focused on healing, growth, and building meaningful connections.
Today, I am an entrepreneur, mentor, speaker, and author, using my voice and experiences to inspire others, women, youth, and communities helping them break barriers, believe in themselves, and step into their purpose. My mission is to show that no matter where you come from or what trials you face, you have the power to rise, rebuild, and walk boldly into your destiny.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. My journey has been filled with unexpected challenges, painful setbacks, and life, altering moments that could have easily broken me.
From being given up for adoption as an infant to becoming a teenage mother, I had to learn early on how to fight for my future. I experienced homelessness, financial struggles, and personal betrayals, but one of the most defining hardships was being falsely accused of something I didn’t do. That moment shook me to my core, leaving me in a place of deep isolation, fear, and uncertainty.
It was in that dark season that I had no choice but to lean into my faith and truly discover my purpose. That trial didn’t destroy me,it refined me. It pushed me to step into my calling, embrace my voice, and use my experiences to uplift others.
Balancing motherhood, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit work hasn’t always been easy, but every struggle has strengthened me. It’s given me the wisdom, resilience, and passion to build businesses, mentor women and children, and be a light for those who feel stuck or forgotten. Looking back, I see that every obstacle was preparing me for the greater mission I now walk in, helping others rise, no matter where they start.

Party Rentals & Event Setups (Tailormade Kreationz) I provide everything needed to bring an event to life, from bounce houses and inflatables to tables, chairs, and tents. I also specialize in full event decorations and setups, ensuring that each celebration is visually stunning and stress-free for my clients.
Photography Services ,Capturing moments is just as important as creating them. I offer professional photography for parties, events, and special occasions, making sure clients have lasting memories of their milestones.
Mentorship & Speaking Engagements ,Beyond business, I am passionate about empowering others, especially women and children. Through my nonprofit and women’s group, I help others find their voice, build confidence, and step into their purpose.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I plan to expand TK Kustom Express and Tailormade Kreationz to integrate advanced technology, automation, and on the go services and purchase a store front . My goal is to stay ahead of trends, offer innovative experiences, and continue providing top tier customization and event solutions that make lasting impressions.
