Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Carvalho and Sierra Bogart.
Hi Laura and Sierra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Health had a major impact in our lives, physically and mentally. With one of us being a picky eater, juicing became the best way for us to get a lot of our nutrients from raw fruits and veggies. Seeing the positive impact it had on our wellbeing, we wanted to share this with our community. Our products are as clean as we can possibly make them with no sugar, fillers, or preservatives added. We pride ourselves in the quality of the ingredients we use and the products we make, while still maintaining a great taste. We make sure our products taste great and are great for you!
In our own personal health journey, cold-pressed juices and wellness shots became a staple. Both of us went from unhealthy lifestyle habits to craving and choosing health after being introduced to juicing. Not only in our eating habits, but also in our every day actions. We saw how important healthy habits are, such as clean eating, exercising, and self care. This in our journey inspired us to create Junkie Juice Bar. A juice bar that promotes healthy habits through clean, cold-pressed juices and more.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have faced a lot of obstacles and challenges in the way, and continue to do so! That’s part of the journey! A big part of creating Junkie Juice Bar is constantly evolving and pivoting. With legalities, finances, and access, having any kind of business comes with challenges. However, providing something that is beneficial to your community is one of the most rewarding things we can do for each other. So just like everything in this life, building and maintaining Junkie Juice Bar has its ups and downs, but it’s definitely worth it.

At Junkie Juice Bar, we sell organic, cold-pressed juices, wellness shots, and more. We have a variety of flavors and health benefits. We have something for everyone, even those new to juicing and health! We sell our products at weekly farmers markets, pop-up events, private events, and online. At our online website, we have more flavor options, create your own juices, information, and exclusive merchandise. We offer delivery and pick-up options. We also have different subscription programs in which we deliver a certain amount of our products at a discount to your home every week, making it as easy and convenient for people as we can. We are proud of everything we have to offer to our community and the impact we believe we’re making with our products. The quality of our products is what sets us apart. We use the freshest, cleanest ingredients possible. We don’t add anything extra. What you see is what you get. We have a saying we like to use when it comes to our work at Junkie Juice Bar, which is “we do our best so you feel your best.” We want to help our community take care of themselves, so we really pay attention to the quality of our products.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Our advice for those just starting out in anything is to just dive in head first. You’ll make mistakes and take wrong turns at times, but you only fail if you quit. A lot of our work in creating Junkie Juice Bar was intuitive. We had to learn to go with the rhythm of it. We found that the best way to do that is just by doing it and taking the small., but necessary steps every day.
