Daily Inspiration: Meet Liz Espeche

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Espeche.

Hi Liz, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I’ve always been into fashion and aromatherapy. Since a kid, I would take fashion design classes when I lived in Miami, FL; these classes would include sketching and designing your own ideas and making them a reality. I guess it always stuck with me and once I got into festivals and deeper into music, I started picking back into fashion and decided to rework clothing by thrifting vintage and unique items and adding little details that make them one of a kind. I also started adding my own creativity with my jewelry and candles.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There’s struggles in everything; of course starting your own little shop includes money, time, and dedication. I am also a full-time student at University of Central Florida studying experimental psychology and due to graduate in 2023. So, finding time to balance part-time work, school work, side hustles, and a social life is difficult. But I’ve been able to overcome it. It took a couple months.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in reworked and second-hand fashion, jewelry, and aromatherapy, such as essential oil crystal candles, nasal inhalers, and anything else I come up with. I never really have a set idea, I also go with the flow of my crafts, and that really sets me apart from others because as I enter my flow state, my vision starts expanding, and I end up spending hours on one thing, which makes them unique and one of a kind.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
My favorite childhood memory has to be joining my fashion design class. It definitely shaped me into an artist/creative person. My whole life I’ve been stating my opinions and ideas on peoples’ outfits; I knew this was my calling!
