Today we’d like to introduce you to Luke Goldsmith.
Hi Luke, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
So I’m 32 years old been in the rv industry for almost 8 years working for main stream dealerships obtained my certification through what used to be rv one then went on to work for camping world me my wife and children originally had an rv witch we travelled with this is why I got in the rv industry I got tired of anytime an issue arose it would need to come back to the shop for 6-8 weeks during Covid the rv industry really took off I was smart in I stayed with camping world and slowly started to buy my own tools trucks and trailers untill I felt the time was right when I left in October of 2023 it was just starting to get busy with the snow birds arriving that’s how we really took off we started advertising wrapped our truck and trailer and went from there business started great to the point in January of 2024 we acquired our first shop in Tavares at 31106 industry drive Tavares fl 32778 we have since grown to we mostly do work for insurance and the rv manufactures themselves direct having come from plenty of main stream and well known rv dealers I saw the areas wear customer service really wasn’t great the lies and the broken promises we at goldsmiths rv repairs promise to meet and exceed customer requirements and we try to turn most repairs around within 14 days we are currently working on a new line of partners to grow our business even more with talks of us starting to sell brand new units come spring of 2026
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
At first things we was really rough just having our 3rd little boy of 4 so you imagine I was working 7 days a week 16 hours a day to make things meet my firs try year was a real learning curve having to learn all the different systems of writing estimates ordering parts connecting with the manufactures and the customers aswell
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We specialize in everything from the chassis to the roof we are known for for our custom fabrication and custom carpentry work we do a lot of one of a kind build outs of vintage units we are currently restoring a 1977 airstream travel trailer I’m ost proud how far I’ve come in 3 years it’s byeno means been easy been a lot of blood sweat and tears gone in to building what we currently have we strive for 5 star customer service and the customer is always the priority no matter what
