Today we’d like to introduce you to Magdiel Cepero.
Hi Magdiel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started when my dad bought a camera about five years ago. I started taking pictures for fun of animals, flowers, and anything I could take a picture of. Slowly, I learned more about cameras and photography by watching videos on YouTube. I began to take pictures with my best friend, Josue, and I became interested in taking portraits. For a few years, I would take portraits of people for fun. Having gained all that experience, I started Cepero Photography, along with my fiancée. Over the past few months, more and more people have been reaching out to us to capture their beautiful moments. We are extremely blessed and we are very excited to see what the future has in store for us.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting out has not been the easiest. Finding people has been tricky because not many people know about us. Social media and our website have definitely helped us navigate this challenge.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love taking pictures outdoors and my main specialty is taking pictures of couples and families. I enjoy seeing the smiling faces of families and couples interacting. My favorite part of the job is when they forget I’m there and are just themselves. What sets me apart is that the entire experience, from taking the pictures and editing, is based on the needs and wants of my clients. Life is not black and white, and I try to be as flexible as possible in order for my clients to feel special.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I’ve always been quiet and observant. I loved playing with little critters I found outdoors, even if they scared me. Even though I was shy, I always tried to be friendly to everyone and make them feel comfortable around me. My parents always taught me to treat others the way I would want to be treated, and I have carried that into adulthood.
